13.25 Thanksgiving is here--and so are deadlines
Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. That's today! Many people, including students away at boarding school or college, travel back home for a long weekend.
But it's not all turkey and pie! Whether or not you are celebrating Everything Pumpkin, those of you applying to college this year have some critical deadlines coming up. Parents and younger students, make a note for the years ahead.
Athena Advises
The deadline for applications to the four-year colleges of the University of California is November 30. No, that is not a typo. All applications to the UCs must be submitted by the end of November.
Other colleges may have later deadlines for application, but an early deadline for applying for special scholarships.
Here's an example: Would like to be considered for a renewable $25,000. merit scholarship to Boston University, without even writing an extra essay? You could win a total of one hundred thousand dollars, but only if you follow these instructions on the BU website:
